The owners of the Mondial Resort & Spa are also among the founders of OBLONG Contemporary, located in the center of Forte dei Marmi just 10 minutes from the hotel.

Oblong Contemporary is an Italian art gallery mainly engaged in the promotion of contemporary art, operating both locally and on the international artistic platform. The mission of the Oblong gallery is to create a successful global arena for culture, represented by its offices in Dubai and Forte dei Marmi.

OBLONG and PIETRASANTA

The medieval city of Pietrasanta is known as the "City of Artists" given its deep roots in the Italian artistic and sculptural heritage. It is located near the Italian Riviera in northern Tuscany and has been home to artists and sculptors since the 15th century. Michelangelo himself was the first sculptor to be fascinated by the beauty of the famous Italian marble in the region, near the Apuan Alps.

Embodied by culture and beautiful natural resources, Pietrasanta has earned a reputation for being an international center for art and sculpture. To this day, internationally renowned contemporary artists from all over the world experiment and use the local marble studios and bronze foundries, benefiting from the knowledge of the master craftsmen.

Strongly linked to the Tuscan city of Pietrasanta, OBLONG will embody the DNA of this historic city and honor its rich heritage. The gallery will also promote courses and Masterclasses on sculpture techniques in the laboratories and foundries of Versilia marble.
